Executive COaching

Working with—not against—what makes you, you

In my role as an Executive Coach, I provide a mirror, a lens, and a light for all of my clients to help empower their leadership and facilitate transitions that lead to happier and more enriched lives.

At each engagement’s outset, I ask questions and listen deeply for both content and context, dig into narratives, help uncover blind spots and any unseen resistance, and then inspire positive energy and curiosity to proceed. Finally, together, we craft and prioritize goals, and crystallize a go-forward plan.

Transparency, trust, good humor, and compassion form the bedrock of our working relationship, and the results often far exceed expectations.

Clients arrive with two main areas of focus

  • to develop their leadership abilities in order to enhance performance, and/or

  • to create a significant career or life transition

Often our engagements become a “both/and”—performance clients make amazing transitions, and transition clients achieve greater levels of performance. What a delight it is to be a partner to—and witness of—this enriching growth!

  • Leaders today face environments of greater complexity and greater demands than ever before—managing and motivating a dispersed workforce while maintaining the connective tissue of company culture, setting vision, attending to mental health, ruthlessly prioritizing among competing requirements in an atmosphere of constant change. It can also be lonely at the top—and this is where I come in.

As an objective sounding board, accountability partner and experienced coach and business leader, I help clients become more conscious to themselves and better able to manage change and challenge, leverage curiosity and listening skills, and effectively lead their organizations—both vertically and horizontally. As a result of our work together, clients gain greater levels of self-awareness, essence and purpose, and deliver business results and continue in the quest to do the work they are proud of and create lives they love.

As my first-ever Executive Coach, Marcy was impactful. Being new to my executive role, she helped me navigate the job and the relationships I managed both up and down the organization. There were immediate actionable takeaways after each session which were empowering to my day-to-day experience. What I appreciated most was that she made me feel comfortable, which opened the possibility for candid, vulnerable conversations leading to important breakthroughs!

  • Data shows that more than ever before, people are unsatisfied with the work they do, and also that finding meaning and purpose in work is increasingly important. In our transition and transformation work, I help clients discover their north star—their zone of genius, deepest desires and foundational values—then help move them toward roles that provide them challenges they are most curious about within cultures where they can thrive.

Many clients arrive nearing the end of their big and busy careers, and are seeking deeper meaning and purpose in the “third act” of life. Together we examine the often challenging identity shifts that accompany this transition, crystallize new priorities, leverage new strengths, and uncover as-yet unimagined options and opportunities. Clients emerge calmer, clearer and more inspired to inhabit new identities that help them continue to contribute and live lives of meaning.

Marcy is wonderful! We worked together during a period of transformative and transitional career change for me. She was instrumental in empowering me to make a number of life-changing decisions that ultimately led to my founding a sustainable tech start-up. I would absolutely recommend working with her —she is warm and charismatic and asks all the right questions, leading you to take a big deep breath and truly examine what career, and life, happiness is all about.

Working Together

I contract with both individual self-sponsored clients and company-sponsored clients.

In both cases, we first meet for a 60-minute complimentary conversation to share information, determine fit and chemistry, and dig into challenges and goals—the consultation’s goal is to truly experience what it’s like to work together.

Once committed to an engagement, we work together for a period of 3-12 months, with an option to extend as necessary and desired. We meet most commonly twice a month in a virtual or in-person session. Throughout, clients are always in forward motion—writing, reading, or listening to content or executing custom exercises that relate specifically to our focus and stated goals.

Through our close and supportive partnership, we achieve our goals: you gain confidence, self- awareness, and grow in your leadership, allowing you to hit targets, earn promotions, and transition to best-fit roles; to see better, be better, and do better.
