Throughout my professional life, the greatest thrills have come from coaching, training and motivating individuals and teams to do their best work—and enjoy the work they were doing. Today, this continues to be my focus: inspiring clients to greatness by becoming more self-aware, discovering new possibilities, shifting perspective, growing skills, and continue evolving as fulfilled professionals and human beings.

MY Approach

Marrying intuition, focused inquiry, and deep insight with behavioral science and proven coaching strategies and tools, I help you assess challenges and opportunities, then customize a go-forward plan toward your stated goals—and question, listen, challenge and support you all along the way. I fuel each coaching engagement with positive energy, clear and compassionate communication, and an authentic interest in people and what makes them tick.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

My coaching is informed and enriched by over 25 years of experience as a manager, consultant and executive in marketing, operations, strategy and people development at best-of-class organizations including Williams-Sonoma, Backroads, UC Berkeley and the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. In addition to my coaching and consulting work, I am a frequent lecturer in the MBA program at the University of Washington and on the Seattle campus of General Assembly. A Seattle native, I am a graduate of the Lakeside School, and hold a BA in International Relations from Brown University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Read more about me >

What I'm passionate about

Lifelong learning. Work that’s impactful. The power and fun of a collaborative team. Facilitating breakthrough moments. Developing leaders who are kind, curious, and courageous, and who play (and win) where their best talents and deepest interests intersect with the work they do.

After decades in executive management, I was a bit suspect of how much value I’d get from an Executive Coach. After my first session with Marcy, I came away thinking of all the different ways she could help me. We dramatically clarified my personal brand, navigated leadership issues, and most importantly she helped me find my “why”. Marcy is not one of the best, she is THE best.
